02 · Why you're here

Greasy by 2pm.
Flat by five.
Day two? Forget it.

You've tried clarifying shampoos. Volumising shampoos. Hair training. Apple cider vinegar. Cold rinses. Three different dry shampoos in your bag.

And still — by the end of day one, your roots look stringy, and by the morning of day two you're already thinking about washing again.

This isn't a discipline problem. It isn't your routine, and it almost certainly isn't your hair.

It's that almost nothing on the shelf was designed for hair like yours — strands fine enough that the same amount of oil that looks "balanced" on thick hair looks slick and limp on you.

We started with that list — and worked backwards from it.

03 · The theory

Fine hair has its own physics.

Axis 01 · Surface Less surface.

Oil spreads further, looks worse

Fine strands have less surface area to spread oil across. The same amount of sebum that looks balanced on thick hair looks slick, stringy and limp on yours. You aren't producing more oil. You just have less hair to hide it on.

Axis 02 · Weight Less budget.

No margin for slip

Conditioning ingredients that make thick hair feel silky can make fine hair collapse at the root within hours. Your weight budget is almost zero — most off-the-shelf formulas blow through it on the first wash.

Axis 03 · Time Less time.

Fresh → stringy, fast

Fine hair loses volume faster, shows oil faster, and recovers from a bad wash slower than any other hair type. The window between "fresh" and "needs a wash" is shorter for you than for anyone else.

We engineered around all three — and nothing else.

04 · The formula

Built on four actives.
Not one of them an oil.

Note · 04.A

We're not going to tell you this formula clinically reduces sebum at the source, or proves anything in a lab beyond what consumer testing will show. The supplier decks are a useful place to start. They are not final-product proof. We're building the proof now — see Section 06.

05 · The system, Vol. 01

Clean roots. Light lengths.
Hair that feels fresher for longer.

Vol. 01 · SKU 01 300 ml
The Shampoo
Lightweight Daily Cleanser

A modern, mild cleansing base built around Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate and Cocamidopropyl Betaine — designed to properly clean oily roots without stripping fine lengths into static frizz.

  • Sulfate-free cleansing base
  • Zinc PCA · Niacinamide
  • Salicylic Acid · Butyl Avocadate
  • For daily use on fine, oily hair
Vol. 01 · SKU 02 200 ml
The Conditioner
Length-Only Lightweight Care

Engineered as length care, not scalp care. Built to soften the mid-lengths and ends without coating the roots — because nothing kills a wash faster than a conditioner that flattens fine hair by lunchtime.

  • Apply mid-lengths to ends only
  • Light slip · no silicone
  • Tested for day-two weight
  • Pairs with The Shampoo as a system

06 · The proof

Before we make a single claim,
we want it tested on hair like yours.

We're running a 30-to-50 person pre-launch trial with people who have fine hair and oily roots. Free product, real questions, honest answers — including the unflattering ones.

If results hold up, we move to a wider 80-to-120 person consumer study before we put anything stronger on the bottle than what's already on this page.

If you want in, sign up below and tell us a bit about your hair. The form takes about 40 seconds.
